Here’s your early access to the full-page version of next week’s Evil Inc comics. Cassie Cruz’s Silver Agency was tasked with keeping the city safe while the superheroes of Justice Ltd were away on a mission. Made up of D-List villains and one hasbeen hero, no one had high hopes of success. But on their first night patrolling the city, they actually stopped a crime!

Now that the accolades are being handed out, the star of the night is nowhere to be found.

Panel 1
(Caption: Later…)
Reporter: I’m here with Night Mayor, who was part of tonight’s heroism.

Panel 2
Reporter: Mister “Mayor,” weren’t you holding the city comptroller hostage a few weeks ago?
Night Mayor: Yeah, turns out… nobody knows what a comptroller does… so the only ransom I got was a handful of gift certificates to Blockbuster video rental.

Panel 3
Night Mayor: By the way, how do I get my reward for tonight? Is there some sorta form I gotta fill out, or—
Reporter: Reward?!

Panel 4
Night Mayor: If anybody deserves a reward for tonight, it’s Malocchio!
Reporter: And you are?
Jeremy Veebles: Jeremy Veebles, corporate liaison.

Panel 5
Jeremy Veebles: You should be interviewing her! She’s right over—
Jeremy Veebles: Where’d she go?!

Panel 6
Jeremy Veebles (thinking): “Heh-heh. She probably saw another criminal and has him in her clutches as we speak!”

Panel 7
[Caption]: Meanwhile, in an alley nearby…
(Malocchio, wearing a striped dress and boots, passionately kisses Crimson Ghost, a bald superhero with a cape, against a brick wall. Crimson Ghost wraps his arms around her waist.)

Panel 8
Malocchio: Omigod! I don’t know what came over me.
Crimson Ghost: Don’t sweat it, kid. Post-thwart adrenaline is pretty common.

Panel 9
(Crimson Ghost reminisces, illustrated in a thought bubble.)
Crimson Ghost: “I remember when I defeated the Marxman. I was so charged up, I came home and —”

Panel 10
Malocchio (blushing): I think I wanna kiss you again.
Crimson Ghost (laughing): Heh. My lips don’t know their own strength!

Panel 11
(Malocchio and Crimson Ghost stand closely, her arms around his neck.)
Malocchio: That… and it’s better than listening to you talk.

Chapter 15 | Page 13a: Working through some things

Panel 1:

Narration: “Presently, Cassie’s team patrols the city.”

Crimson Ghost: “Look alive, team.”

Malocchio (to Crimson Ghost): “You first, geezer.”

Cassie Cruz, texting to her assistant, Jeremy: “How’s it going so far?”

Jeremy texts back: “So far, so good.”

Panel 2:

Faux Fox: “Wait! Listen!”

Voice, off-panel: “STOP! THIEF!”

Panel 3:

Night Mayor (casting magic): “Leave this to the Night Mayor. I’ll just conjure a creature from the bad dreams of someone sleeping nearby…”

Panel 4:

Dream woman appears: “Bruce? Bruce… come to bed. I want to play ‘Farm Girl and the Traveling Salesman!'”

Panel 5:

Faux Fox (to Night Mayor): “That’s a nightmare??”

Night Mayor (thinking): “I think Bruce is working through some things…”

Panel 6:

Purse snatcher is running away.

From off-panel: “The purse-snatcher is getting away!”

Panel 7:

Malocchio: “Don’t worry. I’ve got my eye on him.”

Thief (disgusted): “Ew! Lady! You should get that looked at!”

Panel 8:

(A piano falls into the purse snatcher)

Sound effect: “K’TANG”

Panel 9:

Faux Fox (returning purse to a woman): “Here’s your purse, miss…”

Woman (kissing Faux Fox): “Thank you so much!”

Sound effect: “Smooch”

Panel 10:

Malocchio (excited): “I… I did a heroic quip! I’ve always wanted to do a heroic quip!”

Crimson Ghost: “Not bad for your first time.”

Purse snatcher (from under the piano): “Ouch.”

Night Mayor (to the woman): “I slowed him down! But I didn’t do it for the kisses. …Unless you feel so moved…”

Glue Trap: “Heh. ‘Got your eye on him!’ I get it!”

Ms. Cruz (texting Jeremy): “They stopped a crime?!

Jeremy (replies): “They… they’re heroes!”
