Evil Inc supercolorist Alex Heberling has been working feverishly through the backlog of comics and commissions, so much so that we’re able to offer you Tuesday’s comic in full color! There are still a few posts that need to be updated, but I felt compelled to celebrate her Herculean effort during a challenging and trying time.

The story so far…

As you’ll remember, Cassie Cruz initiated a scheme to oust the villain who was leaking sensitive information to the superheroes. She planted false information in the work files of each of the Evil Inc employees…

When one of the lies surfaced…

But then, Jeremy rushed in…

That’s right! ANOTHER lie has been leaked! But that can only mean that there are multiple spies, OR…

…Which brings us to the moment that the Lethal Librarian stormed in with Angus the Minotaur, demanding to see our embattled branch manager!

Transcript

Panel 1:
Lethal Librarian (frustrated, gesturing with her hands): “Phenomenal Lass is still outside my safehouse! My scheme is ruined!

Cassie Cruz : How many ambulance drivers could this city possibly have?!”

Panel 2:
Lethal Librarian: “She’s gone through all of them. Now there’s a candlelight vigil for the fallen.”

Panel 3:
Phenomenal Lass (on stage): “I’m filled with a special, warm feeling when we come together like this…. Ooh! Sorry… just a little candlewax… ~giggle~”

Panel 4:
Jeremy (reading from phone): “Um… Ma’am…? The heroes are responding to reports of a behemoth in the city reservoir… And a bank being robbed by…”
Cassie: “Please don’t say ‘mutant chickens.’”

Panel 5:
Jeremy (continuing): “…mutant chickens.”
Angus the minotaur: “WOOF! I turned down both of those jobs — and the zombies — to work this gig!”

Panel 6:
Angus: “Hey… Why did everybody stop talking?”
